So, like, what's going on here?

Clan Apoc is a recreational UT clan. What that means is that we're all pretty laid back, and don't stress about such trivialities as clan wars, scheduled practices, attendance rules and the like. We cut straight to the good part: playing the games we like on a kickin' server in our free time. Which brings us to...

Our Servers

We play on badass Linux-based servers located in the northeastern US (the UT3 server is provided by Clanwarz.com). We've loaded the UT2k4 and UT3 servers with all kinds of goodies, most notably the incomparable Apoc MatrixMoves mutator. If you'd like to see for yourself, just hop on the server and play a round. If you like what you see and you'd like to become a more active member in our little community, just click the "JOIN" link at left and ask to become an Apoc recruit on the forums! Pretty much anyone who is interested can become a recruit, and we're always looking for active recruits that are quality folks to make into full members. Come on down!

Clan Structure

HA! That's a good one... We have a couple of admins who run the forums, maintain the server, and are fascists about the nicks of new recruits, but that's about it. We get games by posting on the board and IMing eachother. Weekends are usually the peak game times, but weekday evenings aren't uncommon.

Clan Demographics

Most of our clanners are either (un)employed in some sort of IT field, or they are teachers, grad students, or research scientists (we're up to two PhDs now!). We range in age from about 25 to 40+ and while we mostly live in the northeast, we've had clanners from as far away as Ohio, Michigan, Arizona, and California. We all have pretty decent high-speed internet connections, which is a necessity due to the large amount of custom content we run on the server. Unlike the rest of the computing world, only about half of us use Windows. The other half use a mixture of Mac, Ubuntu, and Gentoo. Our web server and game servers are Linux-based. Regardless of your OS preference, we have a great support-base and a lot of knowledgeable clanners to help you out.

And OH YEAH, we all like to play UT... if you're here I'm sure you can relate.
